Meet the ASICS FUJI LITE 2, a trail running shoe and the upgrade to last season’s Fuji Trabuco Lyte. Within ASICS’ line-up the Fuji lite 2 is positioned as a lightweight daily trainer. It’s not quite a full forced race shoe like the Trabuco Sky, but it’s also not as cushioned as the Trabuco 9 or Trabuco Max. Sitting in the mid cushioning range makes it quite versatile for someone who wants to combine a bit of trail speed with medium distance runs.
Watch review here:
ASICS have been really competitive with their trail shoe pricing this season, although it’s positioned as a mid-price point option you’re getting a good shoe without breaking the bank. But the downside is that there’s no rockplate. The Fuji Lite 2 is a real neat update to the FujiTrabuco Lyte, now softer and more flexible with a reshaped midsole, and also with a stronger upper. So, in conclusion – the Fuji Lite 2 is a solid update. It’s a comfortable, low to the ground shoe with a well-balanced ride. it’s a nice shoe for runners who are looking to do medium trail runs a couple times a week. But if you are a runner who does a lot of technical trails, are heavy on your feet, or perhaps you’re looking for a pretty stable shoe that can handle long distance: then I’d recommend looking at the Gel Trabuco 9 which is a bit more beefed up and supportive.
